Taylor Wessing brings in special counsel roles

Taylor Wessing has brought in the role of special counsel as an alternative to partnership. The firm opted to bring in the new role at the end of last year. Associates of seven years or more will be eligible for the role, with the first appointments set to be made in May. Director of human resources Jonathan Croucher said that the firm traditionally makes up partners earlier than some other City firms and the role would be an important retention tool for senior associates.
